For petrochemical machine pump seals, attention must also be paid to avoid the deterioration of the sealing medium due to temperature changes.

1. Curing

For the sealing medium with high freezing point, attention should be paid to the problem of liquid solidification, such as paraffin, wax oil, residual oil, asphalt, urea, molten sulfur, coal tar, phenolic resin, plasticizer, etc. In order to prevent solidification, steam back cooling can be used, and washing and heat preservation are required to prevent the temperature from falling below the freezing point.

2. Aggregation

For the sealing of media that will cause polymerization due to temperature rise, keep warm and not exceed the polymerization temperature, such as furfural, formaldehyde, styrene, vinyl chloride, acrolein, vinyl acetate, formaldehyde, raffinate, etc. In order to prevent polymerization, cascade sealing can be used to ensure sufficient cooling to prevent temperature rise.

3. Crystallization

For easy crystallization media, such as ammonium sulfate, ammonium phosphate, caustic soda, calcium hydroxide, phosphoric acid, amine, green liquor, thermal conductivity, butanol, etc., it is easy to crystallize at room temperature, and the dissolved matter will be precipitated due to the change of solute. For the sealing of this kind of medium, a hard-to-hard friction pair should be used, and sufficient cooling or heat preservation should be provided.

4. Dissolve

For isopropanol, sulfonated oil, alum, sodium sulfate, potassium sulfate (for water), pentane (for oil), rubber (for liquid ammonia, benzene, ammonia, etc.) with high solubility (for water, grease or ethanol, etc.) Etc.) and glycerol (for ethanol) and other media, should pay attention to the use of media and the dissolution of the materials used.

5. Problems such as coking, corrosion, abrasion, etc. are generated or exacerbated at high temperatures, and temperature rise problems should be properly prevented.
