The contact type mechanical end face seal refers to the mechanical seal in which the sealing surface is in contact with the micro convex body, and the sealing surface gap h=0.5μm.
Common mechanical seals are all contact mechanical seals. Non-contact mechanical end face seal means that the sealing surface is not connected
For the mechanical seal of the contact, the sealing surface gap h>2μm for the hydrodynamic pressure seal, and h>5μm for the hydrostatic pressure seal.
