The first is to use the "container" concept in transportation to produce a containerized seal. The rotating and static parts of this seal are pre-assembled as a whole before installation. After inspection and pressure test, they are put on the shaft in the shaft seal box, fixed on the shaft with a set screw, tighten the gland bolt, and remove the assembly. With the positioning piece, the mechanical seal can be in a parallel working state and put into operation. This is not only easy to assemble but also guarantees the quality of the assembly. The mechanical seals of welded metal bellows are all made into container seals, which has the above advantages. The cassette seal is also a kind of cartridge mechanical seal. The static ring, moving ring, shaft sleeve, gland and auxiliary seal of this kind of seal are assembled together with a shaft sleeve before installation, which is convenient for checking the assembly quality. After passing the inspection, just tighten the sealing cover and tighten the screws. In this way, the pre-assembled, inspected and tested sealing components can easily ensure the quality of installation and assembly. This kind of cartridge seal has the following characteristics:
(1) There is no need to measure the working length of the seal during installation;
(2) The axis can be adjusted at any time;
(3) There will be no leakage problem at startup, because the seal has been pre-tested;
(4) Only the bolts of the tight sealing cover need to be set during installation, and the assembly quality is easy to guarantee;
(5) Before installing or starting, protect the sealing surface from contamination by sundries or damage due to operating errors;
(6) The equipment can be readjusted after thermal expansion;
(7) The center can be customized by cooperation;
(8) It is easy to take out the seals for cleaning and inspection without disassembling the pump equipment. The API682 standard recommends that all mechanical seals use cartridge mechanical seals.
